Geuza Celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in Gikondo Every year on 3rd December, the world marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a moment dedicated to recognizing the rights, achievements, and lived experiences of persons with disabilities. For Geuza, this day is more than a global observance—it reflects the purpose behind our work and the communities we serve. This year, we were honored to participate in the commemoration event held at Akagari ka Gikondo in Kicukiro District, where local leaders, families, and people with disabilities gathered to engage, share, and celebrate resilience. The event offered powerful conversations about daily realities—limited access to mobility support, challenges in employment and education, and the pursuit of independence. Listening to these stories reaffirmed our belief that mobility is a basic human right and that expanding access to assistive devices remains essential for achieving an inclusive society.
